Parenting with Passion – Miracle Babies

Channel Nine newsreader Amber Sherlock was 34 weeks pregnant when her waters broke just two minutes before she was due on set to read the news.  At the end of her shift, Amber calmly went to hospital in full make-up and had her premature baby girl, Piper.

She shares the heartache of returning home from hospital without her new baby and of expressing through the night when Piper was in special care nursery.

Every year 44,000 newborns need the help of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Special Care Nursery.  Miracle Babies Foundation support the Mums of premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them.

Our recent Hope for Miracles appeal on Hope 103.2 helped raise over $3000 to support this important work.

Amber Sherlock talked to Katrina Roe about what it was like for her and why she’s now an ambassador for the Miracle Babies Foundation.
