Social Drumming Taster – Mascot
Ever considered what social drumming can do for your wellbeing? Studies conducted by professionals in fields of music therapy and mental health show us that drumming can reduce tension, anxiety and stress as well as help control pain and boost the immune system.
So why not drum with us? You’ll learn basic hand drumming techniques and rhythms, and discover how these can be used to build connection, reduce stress and improve your overall wellbeing.
COST: The first session on Thursday 21st November is a FREE taster, so you can try it out and see if a short Social Drumming course is for you.

Lifeline Northern Beaches 3-day Giant Book Fair – Brookvale
2019’s final Book Fair on the Northern Beaches commences on Friday, where there will be over 40,000 good quality books, at bargain prices, in many categories, including crime, history, gardening, military and Australian fiction.
Lifeline’s Book Fairs are the place to find a huge range of children’s books, so cheaply priced and suited to all ages. Plus you will find puzzles, games DVDs, CDs and records.

Pop-Up Market – Jannali
The Lioness Club of Sutherland Shire is holding a pop-up market, with all profits going to the Lions NSW Drought Relief Fund. Entry by gold coin donation.
There will be 16 fabulous stalls including a wide variety of gifts, homewares, plants and food, plus a delicious Devonshire Tea.
Plenty of free parking in the Council car park at the rear of the church, and the church is just up the road from Jannali Railway Station.
Muddy Paws – St Peters
Muddy Paws Event is holding a scavenger hunt for all people with dogs or anyone who interested in participating in this fun event as this is a fundraising event.
There will be plenty of food and merchandising stalls at this event. All money goes to continuing providing support for animals in need. Please see the website below for further details.
GriefShare Loss of a Spouse – enfield
Loss of a Spouse helps men and women grapple with the challenges of being widowed. The seminar features an inspiring 35-minute video that’s filled with moving stories, practical advice, and a variety of perspectives on spousal loss.
After the video, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss what you learned with other widows and widowers. You’ll discover that you’re not alone in your grief and what you’re going through is normal. Plus, you’ll receive a booklet to take home with over 30 short readings on how to rebuild your life.

Mercatto Streetfood is a Saturday night market for the family to have break after an exhausting week. We aim to offer a wide variety of street food and ultimate kids entertainment, so mums and dads can just sit and enjoy the food, while the kids are busy crafting, jumping, and enjoying the activities we’ve prepared for them.

Creativity Unleashed Event – West Ryde
The expo primarily aims to empower and build the capacity of artists from refugee and CaLD backgrounds.
It is a vibrant mix of hair, makeup and beauty demonstrations, a fashion show, visual art displays, live painting, photography, music, dance, poetry, food and lots of networking.
Carols By Candlelight – Kingsgrove
Carols by Candlelight in the park and children’s Christmas party with a large assortment of food outlets. Entertainment is by Platinum Harmony, The Oh Rats Show (Sydney Puppet Theatre) and The Rock n Soul Choir.

Church Event: Channels of Peace – Thanksgiving Service – North Parramatta
A service of thanksgiving and praise to thank God for His blessing on His work carried out by Channels of Peace Australia for outreach work initiated by Rev. Duleep Fernando and the Methodist Church in Sri Lanka.
Rev. Duleep, a Christian leader, pastor and evangelist will deliver a message and participate in a Q&A session after the service.

Author talk: Skinny Girl by S.M. Matthews – Rockdale
In support of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2019 join S.M Matthews as he talks about his novel “The Skinny Girl”, a thought-provoking story about a victim of emotional domestic abuse.
Although this is a work of fiction, it is based on interviews, research, published works and other materials. It deals with women’s issues, domestic abuse, and adversity.
Steve is donating all of his income from this book, in perpetuity: 50% to the Homicide Victims’ Support Group (Aust) Inc. and 50% to various other organisations that help the victims and families of domestic

Thomian Carol Service is a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols based on famous traditional Carol Service that takes place at Kings College Cambridge UK.
