Church Fete – Bardwell Park
We hope that you can join us for our Annual Church Fete. We have lots of quality items for sale: books, bric-a-brac, cakes, CDs, DVDs, games, gift baskets, plants, hand-made items, household items, jigsaw puzzles, pre-loved toys, second-hand clothes, vinyl records, trash and treasure and more!
Stop for a sausage sandwich or a cuppa. Sit back and enjoy the live music and entertainment. We have some excellent items in our Silent Auction; bidding closes at 2pm.
The fete will go ahead even if raining as many of the stalls are set up in the church hall.

The Parenting Children Course was developed by Nicky and Sila Lee (authors of The Parenting Book) for parents and care-givers looking for practical support to strengthen their family relationships. Domestic Violence Information Presentation – Berowra
St Mark’s Anglican Church is hosting a Domestic Violence Awareness Evening that will feature a talk from the Hornsby DV Officer and representatives from the Hornsby Kuring-gai Women’s Shelter who will share their knowledge of domestic abuse and services and support available to survivors.
They will provide information about court processes, police call-out processes, AVOs and the different forms of domestic violence and abuse. A counsellor will be onsite on the evening to offer any support to anyone who may be triggered by the content of the talk.
This is an event is for ages 16+.

Turramurra Community Flea Market
Turramurra Community Flea Market is organised by Turramurrra Uniting Church & St Andrew’s Uniting Church and has been raising money for a diverse range of charities and not for profits over the past 40 years.
This year proceeds are being distributed 50% to flood relief in northern NSW; 25% to homelessness charities in Kuring-gai/Hornsby, and 25% to Ukrainian aid in Europe. If you wish to bring items to donate for us to sell, we accept donations on Thursday 26th ONLY 9am–9pm.

Zoe Benefit – Freedom For Every Child – Five Dock
ZOE Foundation Australia is a not-for-profit charity that supports the global movement of ZOE International to prevent child trafficking, rescue children from slavery, and restore and bring new life to child trafficking survivors and at risk children.
REVIVE is holding a ZOE BENEFIT to raise funds for ZOE to go to their area of greatest need in 2022. There will be a silent auction, live entertainment, food and drinks at the benefit. We will also have the opportunity to hear directly from the CEO of ZOE Australia, recently returned from ZOE’s rescue centre in Thailand.

John chapters 17–20 will be performed by actor and storyteller Simon Camilleri, who has been committing to memory and performing Scripture for the last twenty years. John’s account is personal, powerful and passionate. Simon’s dramatic storytelling of John’s words will help you feel like you are an eyewitness of this great story.

Women Supporting Women – Camden
Join us at this women’s event as we fundraise for Blue Wren House Camden Women’s Shelter that is opening in July this year.
A $15 entry fee includes a grazing table afternoon tea and a donation to Blue Wren House.
The event features a silent auction with stunning quality items donated by local businesses. It will also include a presentation from Blue Wren House and a musical item. Join us as we make a real difference for women and children seeking safety within our community.

In line with the upcoming National Volunteer Week (16–22 May), Parramatta Christian Church will be hosting a Volunteer Team Development Workshop. This free workshop is for anyone in a church or not-for-profit organisation that wants to gain biblical tools to help develop strong volunteer teams for their mission and ministry.
This practical workshop will be covering:

– Attracting and retaining volunteers
– Biblical tools for recruiting volunteers

THE SALVATION ARMY COMMUNITY WILLS DAY – DURAL
Have you taken care of your Will. For $70 we can help! Most of us don’t think about it often, but having a Will is the simplest way to ensure our loved ones are taken care of when we’re gone.
The Salvation Army hosts Wills Days, whereby generous local solicitors prepare simple Wills in exchange for a $70 (or $120 per couple) contribution towards our work in helping those facing hardship.
The appointment is with a qualified solicitor who will review your completed form and ask for any additional information. Duration of appointment is 30 minutes. Bookings are essential.

In 1902, Albert and Mileva Einstein had a daughter. After 1904, the child was never seen or spoken of again. Many years have passed and now a reporter has come to interview Einstein about his mysterious family history, only to discover far more secrets under the surface.
