Join Conservation Volunteers for a special ‘twilight showcase’ event. Sip hot cocoa, enjoy gourmet nibbles and sit back as we tell the tale of volunteers breathing new life into an urban creek.
Learn how community comes together to repair this riparian corridor and learn about the critters who call Prospect Creek home. It’s a free event, and a great way to learn more about biodiversity and hidden secrets within Sydney’s urban green spaces.

Operation Christmas Child Three-Day Art Exhibition – Glenbrook
Friday to Sunday! The Operation Christmas Child team associated with Glenbrook Baptist Church are holding an Art Exhibition to raise funds for the 2,700 boxes they send overseas to children in disadvantaged countries.
All of the work is by Sue Gasser, a well-known Blue Mountains artist who has won many awards, including the ‘Art Awards of Sydney’. All paintings and prints will be available for purchase, and entry is free. Devonshire Teas will also be available.
The exhibition is being held in Kauri Cottage, the corner property directly adjacent to Glenbrook Baptist Church. Visitors are welcome to park in the church car park and make the short stroll to the venue.

Glory Conference is an annual conference organised by Partakers Sanctuary and provides a platform for Christians from all denominations to be inspired and live up to their full potentials and express God’s glory.

You’re invited to the screening of “Radioactive Dating and a Young Earth – How nuclear physics supports the Bible’s timeframes”. Is radiometric dating really proof that the earth is billions of years old as evolutionists claim? What about the evidence from radioactive decay that the earth is actually only about 6,000 years old – just as the chronologies in the Bible indicate?
The presenter is Dr Jim Mason who has a Ph.D. in experimental Nuclear Physics. Come and see why the message of creation presented in the Bible is true and why the Bible’s account of our origins can be trusted.

SMBC Hot Topics – ‘Rest and Sleep’ – Middleton Grange
Life can be wearisome. What is sleep, and what is rest, according to the Bible? Mark Stephens, who lectures in Biblical and Integrative Studies at Excelsia College, will unpack Scripture’s foundational theological ideas about rest in the present, in the future, and some redemptive implications of the question. He will help equip us to critique biblically our own assumptions and practices as incessantly busy (and perhaps rest-deprived) Christians in a restless culture.

Brightwaters Spring – Christian Youth Holiday Camp – Gwandalan
Brightwaters is a holiday camp for youth in years 7–11. Brightwaters has fun activities including waterskiing, wake boarding, tubing and heaps of other great outdoor activities on the picturesque Lake Macquarie. Brightwaters also has fantastic youth Bible talks and engaging discussion groups to help youth consider the claims of the bible with supportive and passionate leaders.
Transport to and from camp is available from Gordon for all campers or they can be dropped at Lake Macquarie.

Billy Cart Decorating Activity – Rouse Hill
The billy cart decorating activity is aimed at younger children and enables them to put brightly painted hand prints onto a push billy cart, along with their name. The decorated carts will be used for the Rouse Hill Billy Cart Derby next year.
There will also be a colouring competition, and an opportunity for mums and dads to push their children in a billy cart around a set course on Main Street.
Volunteers for Kids’ Camp Event – North Narabeen
Camp Footloose is a week-long fun recreation and education camp for children and young people with arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions. Campers share experiences in a supportive environment and gain a greater sense of control of their health. We are looking for volunteer leaders to oversee a small group of 2–3 campers throughout the week on camp.

Graffiti Removal Day – Sydney Metro Area
Graffiti vandalism costs New South Wales over $300 million per year.
To reduce graffiti vandalism, Graffiti Removal Australia Inc. runs the state-wide “Graffiti Removal Day” to highlight the problem of graffiti vandalism and encourage people to volunteer their time to remove and prevent graffiti.
Last year volunteers removed about 30,057m², saving the government and private property owners an estimated $2.1 million. Please volunteer via the website below.
