Onward Youth – Livestream

Onward Youth is a one-night event just for teens – and this year we’re looking at how to walk with God when things are tough.

Dave Miers (from City on a Hill, Brisbane) will be talking on Habakkuk, and we’ll have interviews with special guests about their experiences with mental illness, sexuality and isolation. Times can get tough sometimes, but there is always hope in God!

RMC COVID Relief “Bridge” – Macquarie Park or Online

A fundraising event to raise at least $250,000 (tax-deductible for donations over $2) to bridge Robert Menzies College (RMC) over the financial shocks of 2021 with Rev. Dr Paul Barnett as the keynote speaker.

Some of the ministry at RMC includes:
– Students meet each week, digging into the Bible to seek to live out God’s word.
-Numerous small groups of Christian and non-Christian residents meet weekly to read the Bible.
-Many non-Christian students attend a weekly evangelistic course to explore the Christian faith.
-By God’s grace, we see residents repent and announce their faith in Christ!

Walk For Nicole – Sylvania Waters

In October 2020, we lost our beautiful sister to Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. This July, my brother and I will be walking for 12 hours to raise money to fund research and help the families battling. You are invited to join us.

We walked last year, but this year has a lot more meaning. We ask for donations to help those who are battling, as well as support on the day, whether that be through food trucks, coffee vans, and sponsorship. Last year we had over 100 people there, and this year, we hope to have more.

Compassion Sunday at Toongabbie Anglican Church – Pendle Hill

It is Toongabbie Anglican Church’s Compassion Sunday! We’re excited to be joining and sharing more about Compassion and the incredible impact sponsors are making in the life of children living in poverty.

On this Sunday you will have the opportunity to:
•   Get your photo taken for your sponsor child with one of our Polaroid cameras
•   Write a note to encourage your sponsor child
•   Help us see more children get sponsors for the first time

Centenary Celebrations – Asquith

The people of St John’s Anglican Church Asquith have been proclaiming Christ in Asquith, Mt Colah and Mt Kuring-Gai for 100 years. We are celebrating with a dinner on Saturday 24 July at Asquith Golf Club, with the launch by Bishop Glenn Davies of our book “100 Stories … and More to God’s Glory”.

On Sunday 25 July, we will hold a Celebration Service at 10 am with Bishop Chris Edwards as guest preacher, followed by a catered spit-roast lunch. Numbers are limited. Book online, or phone or email the church office for more details.
