Protected Area Workers Association Gala Night 2026 - Yallah

Join us for an inspiring night in support of those who protect our natural and cultural heritage. The Protected Area Workers Association Gala will bring together environmentally conscious supporters for an evening of celebration, connection, and impact.

Enjoy inspiring addresses from Peter Garrett and PAWA Chair Leah Pippos, a live performance by Lachie Gill, a delicious three‑course meal, drinks, and entertainment. The evening’s festivities will be MC’d by community radio broadcaster Kevin Barron, and will also feature a silent auction and raffle, with all funds raised supporting protected area workers across Australia and Oceania.

Across the islands, forests, reefs, and deserts of Oceania, Protected Area Workers stand on the front line of conservation. Most work without recognition. Many are underfunded, under equipped, and overstretched. Some patrol vast, isolated landscapes with minimal support.

A protected area is just a line on a map unless someone is there to defend it. Your ticket will help provide essential safety equipment, communications, training, and field support to the people protecting our most precious ecosystems.

Bring your colleagues, friends, or family, fill a table, and be part of a night that truly makes a difference.

Salvation Army Community Wills Day - Macquarie Fields

Most of us don’t think about it very often but having a legally binding and valid Will is the simplest way to make sure the people who matter to us are taken care of when we’re gone. And it doesn’t have to be difficult or costly.

Foundery Family Centre Community Wills Day

Most of us don’t think about it very often but having a legally binding and valid Will is the simplest way to make sure the people who matter to us are taken care of when we’re gone. And it doesn’t have to be difficult or costly.

The Salvos offer a community service in which generous and independent local solicitors prepare simple Wills in exchange for a $150 or $250 per couple contribution to our work (with an online booking fee of $0.50).

It’s a great way to ensure you have a Will that reflects your wishes, while also supporting Australians in need.
