Thomian Carol Service: A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols – Parramatta
The Thomian Carol Service is a much anticipated event now in its 9th year. Alumni of S. Thomas’ College in Sri Lanka together with the Sri Lankan community in Sydney will usher in the Advent season to celebrate the Festival of Carols and Nine Lessons.
David Sansoni an accomplished musician will train and conduct the choir backed by the well know organist Godelieve Ghavalas. The preacher will be an old boy of the College Rev Dharshan Fernando from Sri Lanka and Rev Owen Goddard of All Saints Church Parramatta will preside.

St John’s Gordon Christmas Twilight Market – Gordon
St John’s Gordon Christmas Twilight Market will be held on Friday, 1 December 2017.
The Christmas market will feature a variety of stalls selling homemade cakes and jams, arts and crafts, fashion, jewellery, Christmas decorations, and stocking fillers. You can also stock up on gourmet treats with traditional homemade Christmas cakes and puddings and other stalls selling a range of sweet and savoury goods. The St John’s Op Shop will also be open.

City Christmas Carols – Leumeah
The field of Campbelltown Sports Stadium will be transformed on Saturday 2 December, coming alive with song and Christmas cheer for the annual Campbelltown City Christmas Carols event.
Bring a picnic, a blanket and your best singing voice, and join host Josh Webster, a live band and a stream of talented local performers for a free family event to bring in the festive season, including a special visit from the jolly man in red!
The fun starts from 6pm and concludes with a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm.

CHURCH EVENT: Bach Cantata Series 2017: Advent Sunday – Sydney CBD
St Andrew’s Cathedral presents the final in their 2017 Bach Cantata Series – on Advent Sunday – BWV140 Sleepers Awake.
“A cantata is a sacred piece of music – the interpretation of the text and the music are directly related to the particular hymn,” said Ross Cobb, the Cathedral’s Director of Music and RSCM National President.
“Bach’s choir at St Thomas’ in Leipzig was about the same size as our Cathedral Choir, so it will be just as Bach intended – sung by a choir of boys and men, with period instruments, performed within the context of the Sunday service.”
Plus some of Australia’s best voices will perform the arias of this magnificent Cantata. Free with light deferments to follow. All Welcome.

Past hurts, broken families, addictions, unemployment, homelessness, anger issues are just some of the issues. Life skills courses, referrals, and advocacy are part of the work but the gold is introducing them to the great friend of sinners the Lord Jesus Christ
Consider attending our event to raise ongoing funding so that the disadvantaged can get the support they desperately need. This work not only must continue but we have exciting plans to see it replicated

Christmas Eve Workshop – Turramurra
Christmas Eve Workshop is a 3 day holiday program that runs during the week before Christmas for children in Kindergarten to Year 6. All children are welcome to join us for games, crafts, theatre sports, drama, cooking, singing, and more!
Together we prepare for our Christmas Eve Musical, performed by the children at 7pm on Christmas Eve. Family and friends are welcome to join us for this fabulous evening and celebration of Jesus, the heart of Christmas.
Thurs 21st & Fri 22nd Dec: 9am-3pm, with optional drop-off from 8am and pick-up until 5pm

Christmas Carol Service – Castle Hill
On Sunday 24th December Life Church will be holding our Christmas Service at 10am at the Lyceum Theatre at Castle Hill RSL.
There will be a special carols service where we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour. There will also be fun creative items and all will receive a special gift!

Celebrate the year that’s been and welcome in 2018 at one of our New Years Eve services.
Services will be held at 8:30am, 10am and a special Dream service from 5pm-7pm, where we’ll write down and pray for our dreams for 2018 and give them to God.

We would love for new people to join us for Camp Hawaii Jon-O at the top of the beautiful Blue Mountains for a week of fun, friendship and God’s love in action! We need campers aged 8-18 with developmental disabilities like Autism or Downs Syndrome to join us in a week of Hawaii-based activities & Jesus-based studies (CAMPERS arrive Sunday 14th @ 12 noon)
We also desperately need kind, adventurous & fun-loving BUDDIES aged 14+ to be a friend to a camper for a week and 18+ LEADERS to take care of a cabin of buddies & campers (TEAM MEMBERS arrive Sunday 13th @ 2pm)

One Heart and One Soul – Trip to India
A Christian pilgrimage to India. The highlights being a mass celebrated at St. Teresa of Kolkata’s tomb followed by visits to some of her homes and a four night Christian Meditation retreat in Goa led by Fr. Joe Pereira.
The tour starts in Kolkata and ends in Mumbai. Fr Joe Pereira, the Director of Kripa Foundation, through Meditation has helped many addicts of substance abuse.
Marie Fonseca is leading her sixth Christian pilgrimage to India. Three of these were done in association with Aquinas Academy, Sydney, with Fr. Michael Whelan as the Chaplain.
