Church Events: Understanding The Times tour 2019 – Glendenning
The Understanding the Times Tour (UTT) with Dr Kameel Majdali, Director, Teach All Nations, aims to provide an informed, balanced and inspiring presentation of timely, current events, in the light of God’s prophetic Word.
Topics include: Christian Character & Identity, and Bible Book Studies: Genesis/Daniel. The goal is to offer an early-warning about the future to inspire people to invest in their spiritual lives.

Gilbulla Open Weekend – Menangle
All weekend, Ellel Ministries warmly invites you to enjoy an escape to the country and experience a slice of the Macarthur family heritage at the historic Gilbulla homestead built in 1899.
Adults $5 and children under 16 are free. Enjoy this magnificent homestead with its beautiful gardens, take a walk through the Cumberland woodland, a self-guided homestead tour or just enjoy watching the kids have fun on the jumping castle, having their faces painted and feeding the baby animals. Sydney Airport Adventure – NSW Kids In Need Open Day – Mascot
Sydney Airport is excited to support the NSW Kids in Need Foundation by hosting a Sydney Airside Adventure. Unlike any other experience, guests (over 12) will gain an insight into how an airport operates in this unique behind-the-scenes bus tour!
Hosted by Sydney Airport volunteer tour guides, guests will be shown our international and domestic precincts as well as the full length of our main runway. From this vantage point, guests will see a hub of activity including taxiing, departing and arriving aircraft – seeing how people from 800 businesses come together to ensure the smooth operation of the airport.

Frontier Services BBQ and Auction Fundraiser – Epping
Frontier Services supports farmers and rural communities and will be holding a BBQ and Auction.
Items in the auction include a First Aid course, 2 Barista courses, meat trays, baskets of groceries, and a fine tea set plus others.
All money raised from the BBQ and Auction will go to Frontier Services.
St Paul’s Kogarah 150th Anniversary Service
St Paul’s Kogarah is turning 150!
To mark this milestone, our Church will be celebrating our 150th Anniversary. The Archbishop Glenn Davies and our regional Bishop, Bishop Peter Lin, will be there. Our local member Linda Burney and the mayor of George River Kevin Greene will be there also.
There will be two book launches to mark the 150th Anniversary. There will also be a special photo exhibition of our history.
The service will begin at 2 pm, followed by a concert at 4:45 pm and a dinner at St George Leagues Club at 6:45 pm. More information at our website below.
Church Event: Central Coast Sing For Bibles – Kincumber
Come along for a great afternoon of time and fellowship, singing lots of your favourite hymns. There will be an offering for translation of the bible into first Australian languages.
Scott Walters, a Bible Society Australia representative from Sydney, will be giving an update of the work happening for the spread of God’s word at the moment.
The Salvation Army Band will also be there. We look forward to seeing you and hoping you enjoy a to-die-for scrumptious afternoon tea.
Charity Concert for drought relief NSW – Blacktown
Two hours of great acapella music, featuring iconic Aussie songs, singalongs, popular hits and a selection of beautiful folk songs from around the world.
Entry is free but we do ask for a donation of your choice as you leave.
All proceeds will go to the drought-stricken farming communities in western New South Wales.
Social Club for Adults with an Intellectual Disability – Beverley Hills
We run a fun-filled club for people aged 17 years and up who have an intellectual disability. Jesus Club starts with games before we move into a singing and worship time. After that we hear a short Bible talk before heading into our Buddy Groups. Then we enjoy a craft activity before finishing the night with a delicious, nutritious supper.
All carers, and all adults with a disability are welcome.
We run the group every second Monday night.
Planning Ahead: A seminar for seniors and their carers – Mascot
South Eastern Community Connect are partnering with legal experts to provide seniors with a free information session on planning their future. The morning will include a discussion on wills, power of attorneys, My Aged Care, and Home Care Packages.
Why not plan ahead to ensure your senior years are as stress-free as possible? A Kingsford Legal Centre solicitor will talk about wills, powers of attorney and guardianship. And a South Eastern Community Connect representative will speak about aged care packages.
Morning tea will be provided free of charge.

Church Event: New College Lectures – Kensington
Faith, Hope & Love – Unchanging Virtues for a Changing World – The Anglican and Catholic Archbishops of Sydney, Glenn Davies and Anthony Fisher, will participate in this first set of public lectures in Australian history to be jointly delivered by Anglican and Catholic Archbishops.
The Archbishops will articulate the importance and relevance of faith, hope and love for contemporary Australian society at a time when competing voices and institutions wrestle to define and influence the national conversation.
Both Archbishops will present on each of the three nights, followed by a Q&A with the media and members of the community. The series will be moderated by distinguished historian and broadcaster, Dr Meredith Lake.
Prime Time for Seniors – Enfield
PRIME TIME is an outreach community ministry for Seniors to meet in fellowship for a time of trivia, song, guest speaker, Bible talk and light lunch.

Jesus modelled perfect relationship to us – both in His relationship with the Father as well as with fellow human beings.
How can we find the way back? This course will help you in finding God’s way forward for your relationships and in receiving healing from wounds inflicted through relationships in the past.

Seminar: Parents Promoting Resilience in Their Children – The Ponds
As parents one of our most important tasks is to encourage and instil within our children the ability to cope with the changes and challenges of life – to build resilience. This seminar is a great opportunity to learn practical strategies from Ruth Fordyce, a Sydney-based psychologist from the Resilience Centre in Epping, and an expert in the field of promoting resilience in children.

Prophetic Art Session – Blaxland
Come along and spend time being creative with God. You don’t have to be an artist, you just have to have a desire to create something inspired through scripture, songs, or something God has put on your heart.
There will be support available if you need help developing a skill but it is a casual time. Paints, clay, pencils, canvases, pastels and writing paper are provided so that you can explore and experiment through creative writing, painting, drawing and sculpting – but you are welcome to bring your own materials.
You don’t have to stay the whole time but we do ask that you rsvp so we can cater for the group. Child care is available on request.
Greenacre Baptist Church 90th anniversary weekend
Greenacre Baptist Church invites you to come and celebrate 90 years of their Church being part of the Greenacre area community. We serve a good God who has shown his faithfulness and goodness to us for nine decades.
We are having celebrations two celebrations:
– 5 October, 7 pm in the church hall come and be a part of a community celebration evening.
– 6 October 10 am, Sunday Morning worship service followed by community lunch.
