‘At Least Once’ Feature Documentary and Canapés – North Sydney

In 1957, OM Founder, George Verwer had a vision to reach the least reached. He was driven by the conviction that everyone should have the opportunity to hear the gospel at least once. We are celebrating 60 years of OM by launching our very own feature documentary: ‘AT LEAST ONCE’. This extraordinary documentary celebrates the past work of OM and will encourage us to re-evaluate our understanding of mission and how we reach the least reached with the gospel.

Light Canapés and drinks will be served and there will be an opportunity to give to the work of OM.

In our next CCL event, Moore College lecturer Dan Wu will expose the biblical truth about guilt and shame—what guilt and shame are, how they can be both negative and positive experiences in our Christian lives, and how they relate to the most important reality affecting human life: the glory of God in the cross of Jesus Christ.

CHURCH EVENT: The Secret Garden Musical – Eastwood

The Secret Garden is a family musical based on the 1911 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Orphaned in India, 11 year old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his wheelchair-bound son Colin whom she has never met.

The estate’s many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the “Dreamers”; spirits from Mary’s past who guide her through her new life, dramatising The Secret Garden’s compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

Mary’s own personality blossoms as she and a young gardener bring new life to a neglected garden, as well as to her sickly cousin and uncle.

Hope from Kenya with Jennifer Gitiri – Jaimisontown

Join us for an evening with coffee & dessert while we listen to Jennifer share her first hand experience of the difference Compassion sponsorship can make to children living in poverty.

Jennifer Gitiri was born in the Korogocho slums in Kenya and raised by her single mother under the leaking roof of a small mud shack. When Compassion opened a child development centre in a nearby church, Jennifer had hope for the first time in her life. Compassion provided everything she needed; food, educational resources, and medical care. They taught her life skills and introduced her to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This group is a free drop-in support group for adult women victims/survivors of childhood trauma/abuse. We are here to listen and support survivors walk through the pain of the past to a future of meaning.

We also have days where there is a topic of discussion explored. We are here to listen and validate the struggles and darkness survivors face to help create lives of meaning. We believe through connection to others we can move beyond just survival!

Come join us for a cuppa cake and to feel safe together.
