If you go out on a Saturday night in Sydney, it’s highly likely you’ll see a young girl wearing something you may think is just a bit too revealing.

Dresses have gotten shorter, necklines have gotten lower and although fashion to some extent dictates what most women will wear, we all have a limit of what we think is socially acceptable or even wise.

Parents and youth group leaders may urge teenage girls to dress more modestly, but it’s natural for teenagers to want to push the boundaries.

So how can we talk to young girls about this issue?  Is it fair to make women responsible for men’s sexual responses?

And should we expect Christian girls to dress more modestly than their non-Christian sisters?

Joanna Hayes from the blog, Celibate in the City has been questioning some of the traditional explanations for why women should dress modestly and exploring what the bible has to say about it.

Audio:  Joanna Hayes – from the blog Celibate in the City.net discusses what it means for women to dress modestly.
