When Bruce Feiler was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, it was time to face his mortality. As he thought through the implications of possibly dying young, he was overwhelmed with one major concern – who would fill the dad-shaped void in his daughters’ lives?
As a result he formed the “Council of Dads” – a group of his closest buddies, who would step in and fill his fatherly role if need be.
