Are you looking for some new playgrounds to get out of the house and check out with your kids? Well, as voted by you, Hopeland, here are the parks with plenty to do that you should try.
Blaxland Riverside Park

Located near the Newington Armoury, in Sydney Olympic Park, this playground ticks all of the boxes. Flying fox, mega swing, scramble wall and a gigantic treehouse, there are so many fun things to play on at the playground. The added bonus is there is also plenty of eateries only a short stroll away if the family starts feeling hungry. Plus, if you like some history, go check out the historic gatehouse.

Flying Fox Park

Located at Winnererremy Bay Park (good luck pronouncing that!), this is a great playground with a big, flat cycling pat, which is perfect for the kids and their scooters. This is one of the top parks on Sydney’s North Shore. The entire playground and park circles a café which is rather nice, and there’s a great little bay for the kids to play in.

Mount Annan Botanical Gardens

A stunning and serene location with plenty to do. The Australian Botanical Gardens is jam-packed with wide-open spaces, activities and plenty of places to have an incredible picnic. The added bonus here is you can secretly get your ‘learn on’ with loads of historical facts around the place. And, on the last Sunday of every month, there are boutique market stalls, produce and food vendors, live music and a kids zone to enjoy with the whole family.

Tramsheds, Forest Lodge Glebe (Jubilee Park Playground)

In Forest Lodge, right near Glebe, is the Tramsheds with lots of activities and places to eat. Just across the road is Jubilee Park Playground — easily one of the best playgrounds in all of Sydney. Right in the heart of Sydney, it was renovated a little over a year ago and has lots on offer for the whole family.

Putney Water Park
If you are looking for water play and want to try somewhere a little different, head along to Putney Water Park. It’s got a humongous slide and plenty of shade for a hot summer’s day. There’s a playground right nearby and plenty of amenities for a picnic and a bathroom break.

Dundas Water Park
Epic splash pad. Great Café. Plenty of fields to run about. This is also a great location to cool down on a hot summer’s day. The BBQ facilities are great, too, so you could really make a day of it at Dundas.
