Norma Jacques embarked on her Preliminary Theological Certificate (PTC) at the seasoned age of 74, completing it at 86.

She chatted with Hope 103.2’s Chris Jolly about the experience.

At an age where many might consider slowing down, Norma decided to delve deep into theological studies, beginning her PTC journey at 74, proving that age is not a barrier, and can be an opportunity for renewing purpose and understanding.

She saw it as an opportunity to “study God’s word at that depth,” which she had not encountered before.

And it wasn’t easy.

“I don’t think I can do this.” Norma admits thinking, throughout her studies and explains that writing essays was a struggle.

“[The PTC has] hidden more of His Word in my heart.”

Norma encourages others to study the course, if given the opportunity.

“If it’s given to you, you will never regret doing a PTC course.”
