The Year of Living Biblically

A.J Jacobs is a writer who likes to take his research to the extreme. In his book The Know It All, he set out to become the world’s smartest person by reading the encyclopaedia from A to Z. Then in The Year of Living Biblically, he attempted to follow the Bible as literally as possible for a whole year.

Now, he’s made himself into a human guinea pig. Each chapter of his new book, The Guinea Pig Diaries, sees him immersed in some kind of radical lifestyle experiment—from masquerading as a celebrity, to joining the Radical Honesty movement, to Outsourcing, handing over every possible aspect of his life to a team in Bangalore, India.
