Lockdowns had just clamped down in early 2020 in Queensland and Ashton Wood didn’t know where he could donate.

The CEO of DV Safe Phone told Hope Mornings that he contacted a friend in the police force about some things he wanted to give to charity.

His friend told him what she desperately wanted was old mobile phones, explaining how they help victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse.

Ashton couldn’t believe the difference old mobile phones could make and that he had been ignorant of the plight of so many vulnerable people in Australia.

He swiftly forged DV Safe Phone, a charity that transforms our old and unused mobiles into lifelines.

Ashton encouraged us all to give our phones to serve the escape plans of DV survivors and victims.
