Listen: Mark Tronson talks with Ben McEachen about his daily family newspaper

Mark Tronson is the kind of person you could talk with about all sorts of things. Someone who seems to have lived 15 lifetimes in one.

Mark could talk about being a Baptist minister for decades or how he virtually created sports chaplaincy in Australia in the 1980s.

He wrote about hockey for The Australian newspaper and has written almost 20 books on trains, which he used to work with.

Mark and his wife Delma have also led supportive ministry Well-Being Australia since 2000. Among other things, Well-Being Australia provides respite for missionaries and also fosters young Christian writing talent – he has experience as a regular columnist with Christian Today.

Mark and his family are also “passionate about family” and such dedication to the family unit inspired Mark to create a daily “family newspaper” that would help them remain connected.

Starting it more than two decades ago for his wife and four children (there are also five grandchildren), Mark has published one edition every day, ever since.

He told Hope Afternoons why he loves getting the family news out there and why it might be a great thing for your family to start your own.
