Sam and Duncan wanted to do all they could to prepare for Miracles Day on August 16 – that annual event when we support people in poverty by giving cataract surgeries that restore sight.

To get a little familiar with what it might be like for someone living with cataract blindness, the adventurous pair put on some blindness-simulating glasses, and tried out a couple of everyday tasks: getting dressed up, and making a sandwich.

The results were…umm… “mixed”.

Let’s just say our Brekky Show hosts now have a deeper appreciation for the gift of sight!

Get Involved

This year on Miracles Day, CBM is aiming to reach 35,000 people in the world’s poorest countries with sight-saving eye operations – enabling them to see their families again, as well as gain education, and employment.

Tune into the Breakfast Show from 5am to 10am, Monday August 13 to Thursday August 16
