The Look on Ava’s Face When She Finds Out She’s Going to Fiji is Priceless

Let’s face it, the call (listen below) was from an unknown number, and the bubbly blonde radio voice on the other end of the line was unusually cheerful. It ended well, though; Joanne may have been expecting a sales pitch, but what she got instead was a family holiday to Fiji.

Nominated in Hope’s Give The Best Break competition by her mother Shirley, Joanne and her hubby Andrew have been married for 13 years with three children – and in all those years they’ve never been away on a proper holiday. An overwhelmed Joanne ended up in tears after learning of her win.

But even more priceless was the look on eldest daughter Ava’s face when Laura and Duncan visited the family to deliver their giant novelty boarding pass (watch the video below). Ava and her younger siblings Amelia and Jeziah didn’t know a thing about the holiday—mum Joanne and dad Andrew had kept it a surprise until the breakfast duo’s visit.
