Listen: Astrophysicist Kirsten Banks shares the latest space news with Sam Robinson on Hope Breakfast
Back in May we were treated to a total lunar eclipse, on a clear Sydney night.
It meant that many of us were looking to the night sky in wonder, and maybe even a level of excitement about the galaxy around us.
The good news is that there’s always goings-on in space, and Hope Breakfast regular astrophysicist Kirsten Banks, joined the show to share what’s been happening across the last month.
In this conversation, Kirsten shared about some space junk that recently collided with the International Space Station, and where exactly space junk arises from. She also shared why baby squid are headed into space, and explained NASA’s announcement of not one, but two, missions to Venus in 2028 and 2030 respectively.
