Meet Cathie who is just about to make a huge shift as she enters a new life stage.

A resident of Leura in the Blue Mountains, NSW, she is moving into a retirement village on the Central Coast.

For some, such a change is only a cause for concern, lament or anger. For Cathie, she said it’s another opportunity to wear cat’s ears and eat fairy bread.

“Growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional” is almost something of a mantra for Cathie.

And she told Hope Mornings, such a bright outlook on existence is firmly anchored in the constant joy she has – a joy Cathie knows we can all have. Indeed, one you might already have… in abundance.
