Mary Poplin is an academic – a Professor of Education at a Californian university (Claremont Graduate University). But in the academic circles she moves in, she’s a bit of an anomaly – because of her deep Christian faith.
For much of her life Mary was a cynic, until she made two life-changing decisions. The first, was to follow Jesus Christ. The second, was to spend her sabbatical leave working with Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
Those two months radically changed her relationship with God, and the way she lived her life. She’s written a book about her experience, called Finding Calcutta.
