Listen: Christian R&B – hip hop artist Hillary Jane chats to Sam and Duncan.
As a Dad of a seven-year-old girl, I want to surround my daughter with positive female influencers.
She’s into rap—but there’s a bit of a drought when it comes to positive female hip-hop and R&B artists. So thank goodness for Hillary Jane.
Hillary Jane sprung to fame as a 15 year old when the Christian rap & hip hop publisher Rapzilla discovered her almost a decade ago. She’s now 24 and married, she YouTubes, she’s raising a black Labrador, and she blogs at theconfidentgirl.us.
Hillary Jane chatted with us on the Breakfast show about her new single Replay (listen above) and the importance of her online community for encouraging young women.
Hillary is one of the new breed of rapper who think deeply and theologically. She is passionate about her faith and cultivating a community of empowered women who are confident with the gifts God has given them. In our chat, I also have a crack at campaigning to feature on her next song… for the record, It doesn’t go well.
