After more than two decades, 90s boy band Westlife is set to make their return to Aussie shores. The announcement of a reunion tour has fans across Australia reaching for their old CDs.
Hope Brekky’s Brendan and Danniebelle were excited to catch up with band member Kian Egan, who opened up about the journey behind this long-awaited tour. Kian explained how logistical challenges and unforeseen circumstances delayed their return.
“We’ve been wanting to come back to Australia forever… but it just didn’t line up with our schedule and the availability down there,” Kian said.
The band was determined not to let Aussie fans miss out again.
“We were like, let’s get Australia in straight away… make sure it can happen,” he said.
Kian also offered insights into not only the band’s evolution, but the enduring love of their fans.
“When we started off, there were young, screaming girls… Now we look out in the audience and we see mums and parents with their children and even grandparents.
