It was a real treat for Hope 103.2’s breakfast duo Laura and Duncan when Chris Sebastian came into the studio for a chat.

Chris is currently in the middle of a tour of Australia’s capital cities, which includes a show in Sydney on December 9 at Venue 505. His new single, Runaway, was self-recorded and produced at his studio after writing and re-writing it several times and arriving at the final version when he was on his own in Los Angeles, missing home.

“I was by myself in LA for a few months, really missing home, feeling so grateful for life but still wishing I could see the people I care about, that I decided to write it about exactly that,” Chris said. “I wanted to come home so bad but I couldn’t so Runaway was literally my heart at that moment.”

Chris has been singing and crafting music since he was young boy and over the years has written with and for many Australian artists including Rai Thistlethwayte and Taylor Henderson. He’s also performed with Delta Goodrem, Samantha Jade and Jessica Mauboy.

His latest gig was touring sold-out arenas with USA band Pentatonix. His singing, not unlike his brother Guy’s, is full of his trademark vocal licks and a whole lot of soul.

Chris finished off his visit to Hope 103.2 with a brilliant acoustic version of his new song, Runaway…
