Tim Costello Appeals For A Big Hearted Australia

Tim Costello, Christian Leader and CEO of World Vision is calling for a Big Australia.  But he’s not talking about population, rather being big in heart and big in generosity – ideas that are currently missing from the current election debate. 
 
Australia survived the Global Financial Crisis better than most countries in the world. Tim Costello says that gives us a unique opportunity to lead the world when it comes to tackling global issues like poverty and climate change.

What Australia needs, he says, are leaders with a strong vision for Australia’s role in the world.  That process should start with the establishment of a separate ministerial department to manage aid and development issues.
