In 2020, Mitch Tambo captured the hearts of Australia when he sang ‘You’re The Voice’ in Gamilaraay, alongside John Farnham, at the Fire Fight Australia concert.
And this Christmas, Mitch has released a special Gamilaraay rendition of classic carol ‘Away in a Manger’ – a song he has loved since school, but now holds special meaning for him as a father.
“As a Dad, it’s reflective of two parents trying to put a roof over their baby’s head,” Mitch told Hope Drive.
“So it’s a bit of a shout out to everyone out there doing it tough, but doing the best they can.
“Know that you’re not alone and that there are people who love you.”
Mitch also spoke about why he loves Christmas, how he celebrates with his family and what’s next for him in 2024.
