Listen: Ben McEachen chats with occupational hygienist Kate Cole about ventilation, airflow and face masks

On Monday, students will start to return to schools across NSW.

Already, some of you might have ventured back to your offices having been away for months.

Ventilation might be something you’ve never thought about before at schools or offices. But it’s a big deal now.

Although Greater Sydney and NSW are re-opening, we remain in the Delta outbreak. And COVID loves to spread through airspace.

Kate Cole of Cole Health consultancy in Sydney is an occupational hygienist. She is also a member of OzSage – a multi-disciplinary group of independent experts providing guidance and recommendations on COVID safety.

Kate spoke with Hope Afternoons about ventilation, HEPA filters, face masks and a multi-layered approach to helping prevent outbreaks in schools and offices. Listen in the player above.
