Nominate a Community Legend for NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards

I think we can all agree that volunteers have been the backbone of our society these past few years, as the country has dealt with crisis upon crisis.

Whether rescuing people from floodwaters, working in disaster recovery centres or having a bake sale to raise money for communities in need, there’s no denying that volunteers are amazing – and should be recognized.

Nominations are now open for NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards 2022. Run by The Centre for Volunteering, CEO Gemma Rygate told Hope Drive that the awards are a great way to recognise people doing good for the community.

“The awards are a wonderful way of showing our support for volunteers and saying thank you,” Gemma said.

“We think it’s especially important this year to say thanks and to highlight all the work people have been doing tirelessly over the past twelve months.”
