We all know someone like this; that person who doesn’t just own a dog, they share their home with a furry four-legged companion, confidant and friend.
Key points:
- Being open and vulnerable can be scary but also rewarding.
- ‘Teida’s Story’ would make a sweet little addition to the stocking of an animal lover in your life this Christmas.
- I give this book 4 stars.
Danielle Corrie is one of these people, and she invites the reader into the life of a special pup called Teida.
‘Teida’s Story’ is a sweet novel that follows the journey of Teida as she gets to jump, roll and dig her way through new adventures. She tackles the highs and lows of life such as moving house, losing people she loves, taking joy in the world around you… all while reminding the reader that these beautiful creatures are living in our homes and loving us unconditionally!
Being open and vulnerable can be scary but also rewarding.
Danielle Corrie draws her audience’s attention back to the power of communication and that being open and vulnerable can be scary but also rewarding – we can find love and companionship for those seasons of life where we need it most.
‘Teida’s Story’ would make a sweet little addition to the stocking of an animal lover in your life this Christmas.
While it is an innocently written novel, accurately depicting the sweet souls of our puppy dogs, it does touch on weightier subjects such as sickness and death. These topics are handled sensitively, but it is something to be mindful of if reading with your young children – I think my 8 year old daughter will love it but I’m aware it might open up discussions around those topics!
I give this book 4 stars.
