Listen: Broadcaster, author and social commentator Sheridan Voysey speaks to Hope Afternoon's Ben McEachen about conspiracy theories

Conspiracy theories are one of the most divisive and contentious issues of our times.

Inflamed by recent American presidential elections, environmental issues and the pandemic, conspiracy theories cover everything from “flat Earth” beliefs to why COVID vaccines have been created.

But what exactly is a conspiracy theory? Why does anyone find them credible? Is it even possible now to know the truth in our “fake news” world?

For the past decade, founder of Hope 103.2’s Open House Sheridan Voysey has lived in the UK and became internationally known as a broadcaster, social commentator, author and public speaker.

Lately, he’s become a campaigner against conspiracy theories. He has even been hosting webinars about them because he wants the truth to come out and win the day.

Sheridan joined Hope Afternoons to chat about why conspiracy theories are such a big deal. He also delved into how susceptible Christians can be to conspiracy theories and offers suggestions for how to seek the truth – and find it.
