In this episode Katrina Roe and Natasha Moore power through some non-fiction:

  • Dear Farenheit 451 by Annie Spence
  • Fierce Conversations by Susan Scott and
  • The Land Before Avocado by Richard Glover

And they divulge the most hyped books they were disappointed by.

Dear Farenheit 451 is a librarian’s funny and moving love letters and break-up notes to the books in her life. The perfect book for book lovers, this is sure to inadvertently add a stack of books to your ‘to-read’ pile.

Fierce Conversations by Susan Scott is a business style self-help book to help you cut through the clutter, get your message across and make your conversations work for you. Not the sort of book, Natasha normally reads… Find out why she picked this one up.

And Katrina snorted her way through The Land Before Avocado by Richard Glover, a laugh-out-loud exploration of the Australia of the 60s and 70s, but with a serious undercurrent.

And finally, both readers share the hyped-up books that disappointed them most in 2019.

That’s all in Episode 12 of the Hope Book Club – because life’s just better with a book!
