“Their Marriage and Life was Restored” – When Hope Reached a Couple in Their Darkest Hour

The couple were Hope listeners, and the radio station had played a powerful role in helping to restore a very broken marriage.

John recalled the memorable conversation.

“Their relationship was breaking down, they were having lots of arguments,” John said. “They got to the point where one morning everything exploded, and the husband walked out. Got in the car and drove away. The wife sat at the kitchen table, just stressed beyond belief… they both were torn apart.”

As so many people do, our listeners both turned to the radio in their moment of need.

“They both got on their knees, asked God to forgive them, and their marriage and their life together was restored in the most profound way.”

“The husband, as he continued to drive, just turned the radio up, and heard a song that we played,” John said, “and all of a sudden God gripped his heart, spoke to him deeply. Unbeknownst to him, at home, his wife had the radio on, and turned it up, and the same song was on. And it spoke to her, and broke her down.”

For both of them, it was what they needed to hear, to help them reconcile.

“He turned around, came home, asked for forgiveness,” John said. “They both got on their knees, asked God to forgive them, and their marriage and their life together was restored in the most profound way.”
