London Riots – What went wrong?

What went wrong in London?  What led to the creation of an alienated youth underclass?  Media commentators have speculated that it’s the product of an embittered kind of underclass that’s been left to grow on the back on chronic unemployment, dysfunctional families and racial tension. Policing strategies and government cutbacks in community programs have also been at the centre of blame.
