Listen: YFoundations CEO Pam Barker discusses the current youth homelessness crisis and a new podcast shedding light on the issue

Today is Youth Homelessness Matters Day and, once again, the day is shining a light on the many children and youth across New South Wales who are experiencing homelessness, and that youth homelessness services are struggling to meet demand.

Last year, around 23,000 children and young people aged 12 to 25 years sought help from homelessness services in NSW. Most turned up alone.

The added challenge is that young homeless people are often invisible by couch surfing, squatting, sleeping on trains, and being out and about at night.

On Hope Breakfast, Sam Robinson caught up with CEO of YFoundations Pam Barker to discuss the current youth homelessness crisis, the impact of COVID-19, the a brand new Young and Homeless podcast.
