Generation Compassion

Andrew Johnson might not be a familiar name to you. But if you have children, he is a profoundly important voice for them.

He is an advocate and a champion for the voices of young people and he spends his days listening to them and reporting back to major government organisations.

He has represented youth during the Liberian Civil War at the United Nations and he has spoken on youth issues before the US Congress.

Sam & Duncan from Hope Breakfast talked with Andrew about this current generation of Youth and Young people. Did you know that this generation is the most compassionate generation of our time? More than three fifths of young people are involved in serving and community service. This generation thinks more broadly on the impact of young people globally than any other generation.

Andrew highlighted that he has the privilege of talking to young people regularly and each time he has a meeting, he walks away with workable solutions because they think deeply, globally and selflessly.

It is a real encouragement to know that we are seeing a new generation being raised who are deeply empathetic. They care about communities and the environment with a greater passion than any other generation. So much so they have earned the title Generation Compassion.
