After her tragic passing on the eve of the Grammy’s, Whitney Houston, one of the music industry’s finest talents, has been honoured st the ceremony in the United States.

The Awards opened with a prayer rrom LL Cool J for the star, and from there the tributes continued, with many performers dedicating their songs to Houston, and Jennifer Hudson performing a cover of Whitney’s hit track ‘I Will Always Love You’ without a hitch.

Jimmy Needham’s 4th Release His Most Vulnerable And Personal Yet

Clear the Stage, the fourth album from Inpop artist Jimmy Needham releasing on March 27, 2012, sees Needham paired with award-winning producer Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Laura Story, Dave Barnes, Aaron Shust) for his most compelling and vulnerable collection of songs to date.

As the title cut implies, Clear the Stage is a call to absolute dependence on God.  From the lead single, “If I Ever Needed Grace,” to the anthemic “My Victory,” the idea of acknowledging our need for God’s mercy and grace is woven throughout the album.

The powerful title track, “Clear The Stage”, written by Ross King, was a life-changing song for Jimmy.

“The first time I heard this song as a high school student, it wrecked me, I don’t think anyone can be the same person after hearing this song.  I’ll never forget hearing those words and immediately getting on my face before God.  It’s a heavy way to close, but my hope is that by the end, every listener will say ‘I want more of Jesus and less of everything else.’”

David Crowder*Band’s final album Give Us Rest hits No. 1 New Album in the States.

Give Us Rest (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys]) sold over 50,000 copies in its first week making it the No. 2 record in the country behind Adele’s 21, and the No. 1 new album on the charts. With a nearly constant No. 1 hold on the iTunes ® Overall Albums chart, bringing the group their highest chart and sales debut of their career.

“We have been really happy to hear and read the responses to the album,” remarks Crowder. “You make a thing and you hope it will mean something and be useful to someone else and to see such a positive reaction so early, well, we thought we couldn’t be happier about it. But then, when I got a phone call letting me know that we were debuting at number two on Billboard, I think, as far as memory serves, I pointed to the sky, yelled something, then un-ironically, with the purest of heart, totally Tebowed right in the middle of the street I had unknowingly wandered into.”

David Crowder*Band gave their final performance at Passion 2012 in front of over 42,000 college students, live at the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta.

Just months earlier, the band completed a nearly 100% sold out headlining tour. Announced initially to their fans, David Crowder*Band revealed their final plans in early 2011.
