AUDIENCE: Pete’s Dragon is great viewing for primary school kids. Might be a few scary scenes for very, very young ones, though.
WHAT’S GOOD: A return to Disney’s golden age film romps with lots of bumbling bad guys, solid, caring families and affirmations of trust in those who take care of you.
WHAT’S NOT: It can be a little slow in parts.
SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING: A brilliant lesson about how to evaluate the bizarre information that someone might pass on (like there’s a God who cares for you and sent His son to die for you): is the person you’re listening to trustworthy in every other respect? Then why would they lie to you now?
