RATED: Absolutely Fabulous is rated M for coarse language, drug use and sexual references
AUDIENCE: This is one for the Ab Fab fans – in fact it’s so derivative of the television series, other viewers might find it hard to break into what going on, or even muster enough interest to care.
WHAT’S GOOD: All of the Ab Fab shenanigans you’ve come to expect.
WHAT’S NOT: All of the Ab Fab shenanigans you’ve come to expect – the same characters, the same jokes, the same plot devices. It’s a little tired as a format, frankly.
SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING: Absolutely Fabulous’s most redeeming factor! Edwina spends part of her dwindling energies railing at her Buddhist statue for not responding to her countless ‘Ommmms’ and financial donations. The truth that everyone audience member will be able to see is that it’s pointless making up your own religion, however spiritual it sounds. You only end up praying to yourself.
