Anything Goes: Erin Chats To Caroline O’Connor

So Erin La Macchia, lover of a good musical, was thrilled when she got a chance to speak to one of Australia’s best triple-threats, (Erin would say THE best), Caroline O’Connor.

O’Connor is headlining this September-October at the Sydney Opera House in the Cole Porter stage classic, Anything Goes. It’s the escapist, farcical 1930s musical, set on a cruise ship, that birthed hit songs like Anything Goes, You’re The Top, All Through The Night, and I Get A Kick Out Of You.

O’Connor won a 2015 Helpmann Award for Best Female Actor In A Musical, for her role in the show.

In her lively chat with Erin she talks about how young it makes her feel to be still doing comedy, singing and dancing with “the happiest company” she’s ever worked with. And she reflects on how she’s still firing on all four cylinders in her 50s.
