As Australians continue to navigate the challenges of rising living costs, the upcoming season of The Brighter Side aims to provide accessible financial advice to help individuals and families manage their finances more effectively.

Key points:

  • The Brighter Side features practical tips from celebrity chef and TV host Adam Liaw, who shares strategies for reducing grocery expenses.
  • Season two of The Brighter Side airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on Channel 10, with catch-up available on the 10 app.

Georgie Tunny, the show’s host, acknowledges the widespread financial strain many Australians are experiencing.

“The main challenge that I think everyone around the country is actually facing [is] really just about being able to afford necessities and get yourself into a financial position to really set things up for the future,” Georgie said.

According to Money Magazine, approximately 45% of Australians are considered financially illiterate, and further data indicates nearly 70% of Australian households are facing their finances reactively and are cutting back on their spending to cope with the rising costs of living.

The second season of The Brighter Side also features practical tips from celebrity chef and TV host Adam Liaw, who shares strategies for reducing grocery expenses.

“One of the first things that goes when you’re trying to save money is that you limit takeaway and restaurant meals,” Georgie said.

“But if you go into the grocery store without a plan, you’re going to end up with items you don’t need, and that costs money.
