Just like you, Sydney Anglican Archbishop Kanishka Raffel knows how much Christmas 2022 means to us all.

After years of the COVID pandemic, natural disasters and cost of living pressures – let alone international conflicts and chaos – there is almost a sense of relief.

A sense of renewed expectation and joy.

However, as Kanishka told Hope Mornings, such an upbeat approach to Christmas is not true for everyone this year.

But as Kanishka reflected upon the Saviour’s birth, he gave two key reasons why anyone would visit a local church to celebrate Christmas, no matter what is going on in your life.

In sharp contrast to a glossy or disposable approach to Christmas, the church down the road is full of reality and community, according to Kanishka.
