On September 30, it’ll be more like the latter, as thousands of Christians worldwide unite to post the exact same message onto social media — at the exact same time.
And you could be part of it.
The event, called the #GoEverywhere campaign, is an initiative of the international evangelistic organisation CV and their online sharing app, “yesHEis”.
In tech-speak, the event is a planned online “Thunderclap” – a single moment in which online software is used to flood cyberspace with one message, posted by thousands simultaneously. In Christian speak, it’s simply another creative way to share the gospel message.
At exactly 7.30pm on September 30, more than 500,000 people across 17 countries are expected to see a post go up on Facebook and Twitter, that links to a short, moving gospel video created by yesHEis.
Anyone who sees the video and has questions about God and faith, will be prompted to connect with yesHEis via the response system built into the Thunderclap.
There will be teams in 17 countries ready to follow them up with answers to their questions, and to help connect people to local churches close to them.

Campaign organisers are hoping that 100,000 Christians will sign up to the #GoEverywhere Thunderclap before September 30.
They’re calling on believers – like you! – to sign up to the campaign as a way of declaring their faith and reaching their friends with a quality gospel presentation. Hope Media is partnering with the campaign to encourage our listeners to sign up.
To get involved, go to the #GoEverywhere website au.goeverywhere.global BEFORE September 30. There you can check out the gospel video to make sure you like it, and then click the green “add your voice” button.
You’ll be giving approval for the #GoEverywhere post to go up on your Twitter of Facebook feed. The post will simply say “why I believe”, with a link to the gospel video.
“Imagine what would happen if Christians all over the world stood together in a single moment in time to declare their faith,” said Nathan Spicer, Global Manager of yesHEis..
“Not only would it be very hard to ignore but it would send a powerful good news message to the rest of the world.”
“In Mark 16:15 Jesus said ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation’, ” said Mr Spicer. “He commanded us to ‘go’, and this is what #goeverywhere 2015 is all about”.
The campaign will operate in more than 14 languages across 6 continents.
CV, formerly known as Christian Vision, is a UK-based organisation founded 26 years ago, by Christian businessman Lord Robert Edmiston. CV’s goal is to reach 1 billion people with the gospel message, and has grown to include teams in 22 countries around the world.
One of their many initiatives is the free online tool “yesHEis”, helping Christians share Jesus online using sharable content. To date, the platform has helped more than 325,000 people to share their faith online, with 12 million views and 33,000 responses.
