At Christmas children wait to receive a gift from Santa. Adults anticipate Christmas gifts because of the pleasure of giving and receiving gifts that bring joy, happiness and love to others.
Christmas is a gift but not one wrapped in glossy paper with a pretty ribbon. The gift of Christmas is God coming among us in the most vulnerable form, a baby needing to be cared for, loved and cherished.
God’s gift for the universe is that whoever believes in this little child, His son, will receive abundant life, life that goes on forever. Jesus is the gift that keeps on giving because He brings hope, peace, joy and love to all who receive Him with an open heart!
