In his Christmas Message, Rev Dr Davies reminds us that God embraces everyone and invites all people to put their trust in Jesus.

“It is important for us, even as a multicultural society to keep celebrating Christmas as a witness and a testimony to what God has done, not just for Christians, but for all people,” says Rev Dr Davies. “That’s the wonderful story of Christmas – it crosses the boundaries of ethnicity, culture and language.”

In Rev Dr Davies’ household, the Advent Calendar is a special Christmas tradition to remember the birth of Jesus and also to anticipate the second coming of Jesus. His family also has a unique tradition of opening Christmas presents one day early.

“Because I’m a minister and Christmas Day was a pretty busy day, we always opened one present on Christmas Eve because daddy wouldn’t be getting home until after lunch on Christmas Day,” says Rev Dr Davies, “so we always had that tradition of one present on Christmas Eve at least to get the ball rolling.”
