This week the media has been full of images from Israel after attacks were made – civilians being taken hostage, townships being destroyed and innocent lives affected. It’s confronting and hard to watch and the politics of it all are complex.

Hope Breakfast duo Ally & Brendan were joined by Omri Ronen who resides in Israel and is also Ally’s cousin.

“We live in a small village far away from everything. We’re trying to stay in a bubble as much as possible. We are trying to keep it as calm as possible for the kids,” Omri said.

“Every person in Israel knows someone that knows someone that were there [in the attacks].”

Ally’s aunt and uncle’s car was hit by a missile while they were in their home in Ashkelon on Sunday night. They immediately evacuated and have joined Omri who lives north of Tel Aviv.

May we all be praying for peace in the region.
