We want to see your writing creativity! Send in your entry now for the Sam & Duncan’s Very Short Story Competition.
Sam and Duncan want to inspire your creative juices in isolation, so they’ve teamed up with renowned Sydney author Tim Harris (Mr. Bambuckles Remarkables, Toffle Towers) and will be leveraging their ‘famous’ radio skills to do something special with your story.
In honour of Tim’s newly republished Exploding Endings short story book series, we want you to come up with your best very short story. The winners will see their short story turned into a radio drama and broadcast across the airwaves of Sydney on Hope 103.2 Breakfast, as well as receiving a signed set of Tim Harris’ Exploding Endings books, and 40 points added to Sam & Duncan’s Masters of the Hopeland Universe Leaderboard.
Your entry must:
- Include the word “Breakfast“
- Be a maximum of 750 words
- Be submitted via the entry form below by 5pm, Friday 22 May 2020
Other than that, let your creative juices flow.
Sam, Duncan, producer Ally and author Tim Harris will be judging the entries, and announcing on Wednesday 27 May, an:
- under 13 winner; and
- over 13 winner
For each prize category (under 13 years and over 13 years), the winner will receive:
Hope 103.2 is proudly supported by
- 1 x radio production of your very short story
- 1 x set of signed Exploding Endings books by Tim Harris
