Aboriginal Christian leader Brooke Prentis offered some practical ways we can unite together, and all play a part in bringing healing to the nation, in the lead up to tonight’s Change the Hear event, and before tomorrow’s public holiday with NSW’s Australia Day “reflect, respect, celebrate” campaign.
“My hope is that people listen deeply and approach the day with humility and compassion. However you observe January 26, take a moment to acknowledge and remember the Aboriginal people,” Brooke said.
Aunty Jean Phillips, Senior Aboriginal Christian Leader, is calling our nation to prayer today, on the evening before January 26, for the annual #ChangeTheHeart prayer service. This continues the annual call to pray by Aunty Jean, now in its 11th year.
Hope 103.2 will broadcast the prayer service from 7.30pm on-air and via GOOD TV.
“Even at your barbeque you could do an Acknowledgement of Country or even say a prayer for our Indigenous people,” Brooke said.
