Powerhouse Museum Ultimo
Last chance to get in and spend time in the wonderful Powerhouse Museum, Ultimo, before it is closed for a 3-year renovation project. Closing from February 5 so get in this weekend to see exhibits like the ‘3001 Remarkable Stories’ that allows you to tell the stories inspired by the objects in the ‘3001 Remarkable Objects’ exhibit. Add your story to the wall and read other people’s stories. Learn how steam engines developed and changed the world at the ‘Steam Revolution’ in this exhibition featuring hands-on displays, old boilers, videos and 12 steam engines. Plus, even more exhibits and activities.

Art Nights: Culture Alive at Bankstown Arts Centre
At dusk on Saturday 27 January, Bankstown will transform into a thriving festival hub of culture with music, dance, creative workshops, screenings, panel talks, arts market and exhibitions. There is something on offer for everyone! This arts-led, three-night (27 January, 15 February and 1 March) program connecting Bankstown Arts Centre with Incubate Studios, Paul Keating Park and Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre through an augmented reality and installation art walk.

NSW Rail Museum Summer Railmotor Rides
The ‘NSW Rail Museum‘ in Thirlmere is where rail heritage comes to live! Since 1975 the historic town of Thirlmere in Sydney’s southwest has been home to a significant rail heritage collection, including over 100 rolling stock items, associated with the history of the railways in NSW. Bring your museum experience to life with a heritage train ride, enjoy a ride aboard a heritage 1920s timber-bodied railmotor running the historic Loop line, every day from 1 – 28 January!

Glenorie Village Markets
Set in amongst horse properties, old agricultural land, flower growers, orchards, chickens farms, market gardens, pet boarding establishments and the like. Make it a day for the family, the markets are a dog friendly so friendly fur babies are welcome.
