Diamond Women’s mission is to ensure that no woman has to walk through an unplanned pregnancy alone.
Key points:
- For 20 years, Diamond Women has provided free, wrap-around support to women and families across New South Wales and Queensland.
- Care is holistic and non-judgmental, recognising that the crisis is often shaped by financial stress, housing insecurity, relationship breakdown and isolation.
- On International Women’s Day, supporting Diamond Women is a tangible way to strengthen dignity, resilience and care for women in vulnerable seasons.
International Women’s Day is a moment to celebrate the strength, courage and achievements of women everywhere. However, for many women in our community, this day arrives amidst uncertainty.
Some are quietly facing an unplanned pregnancy while navigating relationship breakdown, financial stress or housing insecurity. Some are overwhelmed, unsure where to turn, or afraid to even say the words out loud.
That is why Diamond Women exists.
For 20 years, Diamond Women has been supporting women and their families facing an unplanned pregnancy. What began as a small grassroots initiative has grown into a trusted, community-based charity offering free, wrap-around care to women across New South Wales and Queensland.
Our mission at Diamond Women is simple: to ensure that no woman has to walk through an unplanned pregnancy alone.
When a woman contacts Diamond, she is met with compassion, not judgment. She is given space to process her emotions, access to professional counselling, evidence-based information, and practical assistance that addresses the real pressures she may be facing.
Women are supported emotionally through professional counselling and can receive practical help such as essential baby goods and hospital packs.
Often, the crisis isn’t just the pregnancy; it’s everything surrounding it.

It can be the fear of telling family.
The anxiety about finances.
The worry about housing.
The isolation.
The sense of being overwhelmed by a future that suddenly feels uncertain.
Diamond Women’s caring approach
Diamond Women responds with holistic, client-centred care.
Women are supported emotionally through professional counselling. They receive practical help such as essential baby goods and hospital packs when finances are stretched. They are connected into mentoring programs and group support that reduce isolation and build community. They are guided toward budgeting support, employment pathways and local services that strengthen long-term stability.
The role of Diamond Women is to ensure that each woman has the information, support and confidence she needs to navigate her journey with dignity.
Over the past two decades, more than 5000 women have been supported through this model of care. Behind that number are thousands of conversations, thousands of counselling sessions, thousands of practical moments where a woman realised she did not have to face this season alone.
International Women’s Day invites us to accelerate action for women. For Diamond Women, that action looks like showing up in the most vulnerable moments – answering emergency phone calls, sitting across from a woman who feels overwhelmed, filling practical gaps that might otherwise feel insurmountable.
But this work does not happen in isolation.
The role of Diamond Women is to ensure that each woman has the information, support and confidence she needs to navigate her journey with dignity.
Diamond Women is a community-funded charity. Its services are provided free of charge because individuals, businesses, churches and community groups choose to stand behind women when they need it most.
This International Women’s Day, you have the opportunity to do more than celebrate women – you can actively strengthen the support systems around them.
Your contribution helps fund:
- Professional counselling sessions for women navigating emotional distress
- Practical assistance and baby essentials for families under financial pressure
- Mentoring and group programs that build confidence and reduce isolation
- Community outreach and education to ensure women know support is available
When you support Diamond Women, you are not simply donating to a charity. You are investing in resilience. You are reinforcing dignity. You are ensuring that when a woman reaches out in one of the most defining seasons of her life, someone is there to respond.
The demand for compassionate, practical support is only growing.
The need is real. Calls continue to come. Women continue to face uncertainty, and in a climate of rising living costs and increasing social pressures, the demand for compassionate, practical support is only growing.
International Women’s Day is about recognising the value of women in every stage and season of life. It’s about creating communities where women are seen, supported and empowered, especially when circumstances feel overwhelming.
Diamond Women has spent 20 years quietly doing exactly that.
Now, you can be part of the next chapter.
