Listen: Janelle Payne talks with Ben McEachen about anti-slavery group Every Daughter Matters

I saw a post on LinkedIn that began “Three more today” and those three words were enough to make me want to know more about Every Daughter Matters, a Christian-based charity fighting against human trafficking in Nepal.

A naturally beautiful country, Nepal has ugly sides to its living standards.

Almost 40 per cent of Nepal’s population live at or below the poverty line, according to Every Daughter Matters.

Women are often sold into slavery across the porous Indian border.

“Three more today” is Every Daughter Matters’ motivation to rescue at least three women every day.

Janelle Payne from Every Daughter Matters spoke on Hope Afternoons about what is needed to protect women from human trafficking.

She also shared one memorable story of a life turned around at the Nepal-Indian border, just before a bus ride to certain exploitation.
