Listen: Open Doors Australia and New Zealand CEO Mike Gore on Christians in some of the darkest corners of the world inspiring others to be bold with their beliefs
Each year, Easter celebrations pose a risk for churchgoers in areas of increased persecution – as we’ve seen this Palm Sunday, a Catholic Church attack in Indonesia wounded 14 worshippers and killed the two bombers.
Despite the risks, Christians continue to follow Christ and inadvertently inspire others to be bold with their beliefs.
Mike Gore is the CEO of aid organisation Open Doors Australia and New Zealand. Having worked closely with the persecuted church for many years, he shares in this interview how their suffering fits into the gospel narrative, and how Jesus’ own example offers us insights into our own hardships.
Find out more about Open Doors’ Easter campaign One with Them – “standing with the persecuted church and uniting as the body of Christ”.
