This year has been quite a ride so far.  Everywhere you look, there is sorrow, pain and darkness.

There has been a collective sorrow that we’ve felt as a planet.

The war with Russia and Ukraine has continued with no end in sight, Syria and Türkiye went through devastating earthquakes – killing tens of thousands of people, and displacing millions more. Iranian women have continued bravely protesting against the government for more freedoms, while Afghan women and girls have had even more rights stripped from them by the Taliban.

But where there is darkness, there is also light.
