Former Deputy PM John Anderson in Western Sydney to Speak at Religious Freedom Event

The Federal Government is currently working towards legislating a Religious Discrimination Act (RDA) and Free2BMe wants to give you the opportunity to hear what that means and how it will affect our ability to practice our faith.

The Religious Freedom Event is on Monday 18 November at 7pm, at the Bowman Hall in Blacktown and although it is a free event, you must register your interest here.

Speakers include The Hon John Anderson AO and former Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, John Steenhof, managing director of the Human Rights Law Alliance, dean of the School of Law at the University of Notre Dame Australia professor Michael Quinlan, and Michelle Rowland MP, Federal Member for Greenway.

Organiser and St Clement’s Anglican Church Reverend Mark Tough, who shares two reasons below as to why you should head along on November 18 and join others in carefully considering our Country’s religious freedoms’ future.

“Unless our Government acts, our religious freedoms are potentially under threat and that’s not going to be good for our Country,” Mark said.
