Beat the Blue is a unique opportunity for members of the public to test their driving ability against some of the best NSW Police Force drivers, on road conditions created to be the worst a driver could face.
Beat the Blue event organiser Sergeant Steven Planinic joined Hope Breakfast’s Ally Barnes to talk about how their event helps raise funds for NSW Police Legacy, and how it means you can have a friendly rivalry with our law enforcement without getting booked for speeding.
The driving obstacle course will be on a wet skid pan at Sydney Motorsport Park in order to replicate the worst conditions a driver could face on a roadway. The first to finish the course will be crowned the Beat the Blue winner. The original event in 2019 saw the Police take out 77 of 99 events.
NSW Police Legacy is “a strong and compassionate charity committed to supporting past and present police and their families in times of tragedy and need”.
Beat the Blue will take place on Saturday 6 May at 7pm.
