Good morning. As we’re heading into a new week, let’s do it together each morning.

As we take time each day to spend some time with God listening to Him, reading His Word, learning from Him principles for our lives that make them so much better.

If you don’t already know God in a personal way, I encourage you to go to church this coming Sunday. Find out more about what it means to have a personal relationship with God.

Open up your Bible and read John chapter 3, and you’ll get some insight. God loves you and wants a personal relationship with you, not just for you to be a religious person, but for you to know Him personally.

We’re reading through Psalm 119, and today we come to the little section beginning in verse 121. It says:

I have done justice and righteousness. God do not leave me to my oppressors. Be surety for your servant for good, that is something I can hold on to.

Do not let the arrogant oppress me. My eyes fail with longing for your salvation and for your righteous word.

Deal with your servant according to your loving kindness and teach me your statutes. I am your servant. Give me understanding that I may know your testimonies.

It is time for the Lord to act, for they have broken your law. Therefore I love your commandments above gold. Yes, above fine gold. Therefore, I esteem right all your precepts concerning everything.

I hate every false way.

It’s quite a statement there at the end, isn’t it?

Therefore I esteem right all your precepts concerning everything.

You know, if that was said about anybody besides God, it would be ludicrous. It would be ridiculous. Who can always be right about everything.

But isn’t it true that this is what draws us to the Bible? This is what attracts us to the Word of God. It’s why we stake our lives on the truth of the Bible. It’s why we memorise it. It’s why we study it. It’s why we pray through it.

God is always right about everything.

That’s not a statement of pride from God. It’s not something saying look at me because of this, it’s the truth. God is the definition of what is right and true. He is always right about everything. And so if you want a foundation to build your life on, if you want something that is secure, something you can always count on, then build your life on the foundation of God’s Word.

To do that you need to know His Word. You need to read your Bible. You need to think about it. You need to pray through it. You need to ask God to speak to you as you read. God wants to meet you in the Bible, and you need to take time every day to soak your life in the Word of God.

How about today? Why don’t you take some time right now and spend time with God.
