1.34 million people tuned in for the final of TV’s Australian Ninja Warrior, to see the quietly-spoken Charlie Robbins declared the winner.
Who would have predicted that our nation’s first Ninja Warrior victor would be a humble, 68kg, red-headed golfer who wears glasses, and completed the course in golf shorts and a polo – while his support team, including Grandpa Taffy, donned tweed caps?
Charlie Robbins may break all the Ninja Warrior stereotypes, but he was always a serious contender.
Fellow redhead, Katrina Roe asked Charlie Robbins how much his red-headed super powers contributed to his success and how it feels to be Australia’s first Ninja Warrior champion.
