Listen: Sam’s Poem to… Windscreen Wipers
A Poem to Windscreen Wipers
Commuting in Sydney is a challenging beast
Quite often it’s gridlock to say the least
But when from the sky falls a watery concoction
Driving around requires extra precaution
And with spring rain comes humidity
Windscreens fog up quite flippantly
And then comes that Sydney evening classic:
A severe thunderstorm, both loud and dramatic
But when the rain is heavily falling
And the wind around is strongly squalling
You clear my view with the accuracy of snipers
So thank you, high speed windscreen wipers
